Lazy Sunday

Today has been spent outside reading, working in the yard a little and generally just enjoying the spring. I forgot how much I like this kind of weather. Not to hot or too cold. I sound a bit like Goldilocks there.

I also discovered spring brings spiders. I do not like this. Spiders freak me out to no end. I have to scream and run and let the boy deal with them. Oh, well. At least he's willing to do it. I also discovered a centipede in the yard today. It was such a neat looking little creature. I should have snapped a pic!

I love mixing darker colors with bright colors. I always feel like I can't be bright all over, so I like to tone down the bright with dark. Plus I love how the black top makes the green of these shorts really pop! That's my favorite way to really show off the color of a particular item of clothing. Pair it with something darker to make it stand out. I actually have a few pairs of shorts that are bright like this and I almost always wear them with black. It is interesting to find such patterns in the way that you dress.

Date Night

The warm weather continues! Ahhh, it is so nice here. I finally get to use all the warm weather clothes I bought in the fall when they were all on sale. This dress is one of those items. I bought it from Modcloth on sale in the fall since I knew it would be a great dress once spring and summer finally arrived. I try not to do that too much, buy out of season. There are just some items that are hard to turn into winter items and when I buy something, I really want to wear it right away!

Warmer Weather

Hey dear readers! I'm sure many of you are wondering how it is even possible that I am wearing a dress right now! Well it seems spring has arrived around here and almost even skipped to summer. The winter here on the West Coast has been short and dry. The short part I don't mind, but we really need some moisture. Send us your snow! We'd really be okay with that. Alas, it seems another year of drought is headed our way.

Today it was warm enough to wear a dress and sandles! Admittedly I did wear a sweater most of the day with this outfit though. We have daffodils and toads croaking and buds blooming. It is nice to be able to finally break out the spring clothes all the way. Hopefully this weather will stay so I don't have to keep switching back to tights and sweaters.

Luna the dog is enjoying the warm weather as well. She lays in the sun most of the day and tried to figure out where our little toad seems to be. I'm glad she hasn't found him.
